Evolvere Scientia is a semi-annual publication (June and December) focused on the semi-arid research. Evolvere Scientia publishes works in English. The published works are the responsibility of their respective authors, being the first version sent by the authors in Portuguese or English with the requirement of the final publication of the article accepted in English.
It is an open access journal of the Portal of Periodicals of the Federal University of the Sao Francisco Valley with sections distributed according these sections:
Peer Review Process
Evolvere Scientia is a semi-anual journal with regular numbers published in June and December. Each edition will include at least 20 (tweenty) complete papers. The process of evaluation of submitted articles occurs in two stages, and undergoes a double review system (Double Blind Peer Review).
Consists of a preliminary evaluation of the Chief Editor together with a member of the Scientific Editorial Board, which analyzes the adhesion of the works according to the journal's editorial line, its suitability to the scope, and aspects such as contribution and novelty of the text. Only the relevant works considered by the editors to be relevant to the context of semi-arid research will continue for the remaining evaluation stages. In this step a check of possible plagiarisms in the presented content occurs.
The original articles are forwarded for the appreciation of three reviewers from the Corps of Evaluators, according to the Double Blind Peer Review system. The criteria for the evaluation of the articles take into account relevance of the theme, originality of the contribution in the thematic areas of the Journal, clarity of the text, adequacy of the bibliography, structure and theoretical development, methodology used, conclusions and contribution offered for the knowledge of the area. In this step also the second check of possible plagiarisms in the presented content occurs.
No submission and / or publication fee is applied in Evolvere Scientia. The review will be required by one of the journal review services indicated by the Evolvere Scientia (list available on the journal's website). The costs of this review will be negotiated directly between authors and reviewers.
